Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Moto G (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. The update for both generations Moto G is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) in batches. Motorola had announced that all moto handsets which were released in 2013 and 2015 will be updated which includes all variants of the Moto G and the Moto X, excluding the Moto E smartphone.
Motorola is directly rolling out Android 5.0.2 update and this will brings performance enhancements, improved multitasking, Material UI design, battery saver, enhanced notifications and smart lock/unlock feature.

How to update:
The update will show up in your notification and in case if you don’t get the notification, go to settings -> About Phone-> tap on System Updates. The device will connect to server & check for update, if it is available download and install it by following the on-screen instructions.
If your device is not showing any update then check back after few hours since Motorola is pushing update in phases.
