Android 15 confirmed features has been released by Google before the final stability release of Android 15. There are lot to know about Android 15, from UI changes to performance improvement, privacy and security features, and many more.
Right now, Android 15 is in Beta 4.2 phase alongside Android 15 QPR 1 Beta 1, and the APIs are finalised, which means users will soon get the stable Android 15 in their device.
List of Android 15 confirmed features:
- Partial screen sharing
With this feature, Android 15will provide users to have the option to share or record only an app window, instead of the whole device screen. This feature was earlier introduced in Android 14 QPR2 but now will available across the wider platform of Android.
- Satellite connectivity support
Android 15 will support satellite connectivity feature which will provide users the access to send and receive messages even without network connectivity with the help of satellite connectivity, which will no longer be limited to only emergency uses.
Android 15 has got an important UI element which will ensure user experience across the satellite landscape, also apps use APIs to detect when the user’s device is connected to a satellite.
- Sensitive notification
Android 15 will provide extra security to its users by ‘sensitive notification’ feature. Some platforms use the most basic form of two-factor authentication by sending OTP via text or email, but this new ‘sensitive notification’ feature will fix this problem and prevent your OTPs from being read by malicious Android apps.
- Circle to Search support with persistent taskbar
Google has added the ability with Android 15 Beta 3 to invoke Circle to Search by holding the button which is there in the taskbar that launches the floating app drawer (action key).

- Health Connect
Android 15 will also include Health connect feature which supports and add new data related to fitness, nutrition and more in the device. Beta 2 will add skin temperature and training plan related data in device, providing users the ability to have more knowledge related to their health.
- HDR headroom control
Android 15 will allow apps to have control over HDR headroom, which will help to overcome the situation where HDR content overpower the perceived brightness of the SDR content.
- Loudness control
The support for the CTA-2075 has been officially introduced by Android 15 which will help in avoiding inconsistencies of loudness and ensures users that wile switching between content, they don’t need to adjust volume.
Android 15, with the help of loudness metadata available in the ACC audio content, adjust the audio loudness and compression level intelligently.
- Google Account photo can be set as Avatar.
Google Pixel Avatar App has been included by Android 15 Beta 2 which is an unbundled version of the avatar picker. It will be found in Settings > System > Multiple users.
For this feature, firstly the users need to set their current Google Account picture as their profile picture. After this, the Google Account picture can be shown in the top row exact next to the camera and gallery icons, distinguished with a “g” logo.
- New colour contrast setting
A new feature of colour contrast setting has been added by Android 15 Beta 2 which allows the users the access to adjust the contrast of text, buttons, and icons making them stands out more. This feature can be enabled from the new setting page added to- Settings > Wallpaper and style.
- ‘Home controls’ screensaver
A new feature of screensaver called “Home Controls” has been added by Android 15 that allow users to control Google Home devices when the device is kept as idle or is charging.
This screensaver feature will only show the Google Home controls that has favorited and the current time.
- Adaptive vibration
New Adaptive Vibration setting has been included in Pixel device setting by Android 15 Beta 2 which will automatically adjust device’s vibration depending upon the environment.
This feature will use microphone and other sensors of the device to determine where to increase the intensity of vibration and where to decrease it like- phone’s haptics will vibrate more intensely when it is on the sofa/couch, and when the phone is on the table then less intensely.
To maintain privacy, no data will be recorded during the process, when this feature is on.
- New in-app camera controls
Android 15 will provide users more control over the camera hardware. It will include low-light enhancements that provide control over boosting the brightness of the camera preview and advanced flash strength enabling precise control of flash intensity when capturing photos.
Hence, these are some highlighted confirmed features, which is going to come in Android device with final stable release of Android 15.
