New update on WhatsApp will allow users to have Custom chat themes on WhatsApp for customization of their WhatsApp chat. The WhatsApp will offer at least 10 themes for Custom chat theme to users, increasing messaging experience of the users by allowing them to customize their chat theme and chat colour.
As like Instagram and Facebook messenger, WhatsApp is also gearing up towards customize chatting experience for users, testing a section where users would be able to select their favourite default chat theme.
How Custom chat theme will work on WhatsApp?
- Earlier, users were able to change their chat background only, but after the Custom chat theme feature, users will change the ‘text bubble’ colours as well. If users choose new colour as their default chat theme, wallpaper and text bubble colour will also change accordingly.
- According to reports, in future the users will have option to customize specific chat where they can choose new or their favorite colour for specific chat bubbles and wallpapers.
- With this feature, users will have full command over their messaging visual interface, and they can customize it as per their wish, by changing default chat theme, colour of wallpaper and even text bubble colour of specific chat.
Well, this feature is still in development, as WhatsApp is Beta testing for this feature. It will soon be rolled out for the users, as discovered in the latest WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.17.19 update, which users can update from Google Play Store.
‘Like’ reaction feature as Instagram on WhatsApp:
- There is one more feature same as Instagram, which WhatsApp is Beta testing for Android users. This feature allows users to like status updates on WhatsApp, same as currently they are liking stories on Instagram.
- It will soon be introduced to users, for now it is available for WhatsApp beta users with the latest version 2.24.17.21
- This feature will allow users to like the status posted on WhatsApp by pressing heart emoji, which will appear at bottom left of the screen after update. Users will also have an option to see who has liked their status.
- Option of Replying to status will also be there, it won’t be affected by the ‘Like’ feature.
Thus, we can say that WhatsApp is also trying to compete with other apps like Instagram, Facebook messenger, by updating its features. Soon, we will get to see these two new features in WhatsApp allowing users to have better messaging experience.
