Android 16 could change Quick Setting screen: As news are rolling out, we get to know that Android 16 could change Quick Setting Screen panel and notification.
Android 15 has not started rolling out to any phones yet, though very soon it would be available to Pixel devices, and between this we are getting the updates about Android 16 which could bring major change in the screen of notification and Quick Setting in Pixel devices.

How will the new Quick Setting screen change work?
Currently, while swiping down from top of the phone’s screen in Pixel devices display four Quick Settings tiles along with notification, the dropdown covers the full screen and also cover whatever app is running underneath.
This new version of Quick Setting screen will show only notification panel while swiping down with one finger, it won’t show any Quick setting. Also, only top half of the phone’s screen will get cover by the dropdown, so users can easily see the app running beneath it.
Users would need two-finger swipe to get access of Quick Settings panel, and access of additional Quick Settings tiles by swipe left or right.
It was considered that Quick Setting would no longer requires two swipes, that is left and right, but it seems that with the new change a two-finger swipe will be introduced, whether the change will be better or worse, it can’t be said, but might be it would be ‘annoying’.

Which device will get this change?
This change is specific for Pixel devices. So, those who are not having pixel devices may not see this change as all manufacturers have their own way of tweaking the notification and Quick Settings screens.
Right now, Google is experimenting this feature, it doesn’t mean that the company will go ahead with it. As most of the chance is that it will launch with Android 16 or might be the change could come as part of a software update in the meantime.
