Android Auto 12.8 update has now released by Google, and it landed on users’ device which is in its early phase on the Google Play Store and can be reached to the broad availability phase in a few weeks.

Users can download the new update by ‘Sideloading’, for which they don’t need to rely on the Google Play Store distribution system.
Few days back, 12.8 version was released in the beta stage but it has been promoted to the production channel as any major bugs or performance issues has not been spotted by the Google.
How to download Android Auto 12.8 update?
As new version of Android Auto is available users definitely want to download it, and the good news is that they don’t need to wait for its availability on Google Play Store to download it, as it would take few weeks to be available on Google Play Store. So, users can download it from side loading.
The steps to download Android Auto 12.8 are-
- Firstly, users need to download ‘Android Auto 12.8 APK installer’. It will allow to install an application on your Android device manually.
- Now, users need to browse its location on their mobile. Just tap the installed file and you need to follow the on-screen instructions.
- If the device setting is configured to allow only new apps and updates from Play store, then the manual installation of app would be prompted to users.
To install a new build, users don’t need to remove the existing Android Auto version from their phone.

Right now, the new Android Auto has not been released on Google Play Store so if users can wait for the official release of the update on Google Play Store to download the new version they can wait, if not they have an option to download it from Sideloading, users can opt accordingly.
