Gemini-powered Memory feature could soon be released on Goggle Photos by Google which will recap all your memories by adding narration to it with the help of Gemini.
Google photos is the photo management app for Android which also helps in back up our photos/videos to the cloud as well as editing photo. It has nifty “Memory” feature that gives recap of our all memories of past years, how things changed over the years, in the form of video. But now, Google will take the help of AI, and the power will be taken by Gemini to do the same in narrated form.
*An APK teardown helps to predict which feature is going to come in progress in future.
New string has been included by Google Photos v7.1 that shows Gemini will be used by Google to recap memories.
What is Gemini-powered Memory feature?
An option “Gemini powered memories (Get recap memories narrated by Gemini)” might be seen in Google Photos after its official release.
- Currently, in Google Photos we get to see the memories of photos/videos in slideshow form with background music but without any narration. It is usually like a particular calendar date some years ago, or a holiday, or your family/friends, but there is no narrative element is there, making it very personal.
- Once Gemini will be introduced to it, it will add that narrative part to it which will supercharge memory feature, which provides “year in Review” recap instead of whole memories.
- Generative AI will have more narrative elements to review your whole year memories and provide you Gemini-powered memories as recap of the whole year in your Google Photos.
- Also, if users don’t like the Gemini-AI to work, the opt-in feature will be kept available by the Google to avoid Gemini-powered memories.
- December timeline release would be the target of the recap memory feature, that is what the strings suggest the memory will be ready within Google Photos.
This feature is not live in Google photos, also it is not known that when Google plan to release the feature. We just hope for the early release of the feature, as we’ll then get the recap of memories in the form of narration with the help of generative-AI.
