Mate XT is the world’s first triple-screen foldable phone launched by HUAWEI last week in China. And now HUAWEI is all set to launch the model globally in Q1 2025.
As it’s the first triple-screen foldable phone, so users can expect that it will be pricey, as it is launched in its home country, starting at 19,999 yuan (Rs 2,36,748) for the 16GB/256GB variant, so it will launch at more cost globally.
Specs and features of first triple-screen foldable phone:
- The new model has 10.2-inch dual-folding OLED screen, with one-fold turns the screen into a 7.9-inch display, the second fold turns it into a 6.4-inch smartphone screen.
- The model is 12.8 mm thick when it is folded, which means that this new model is thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 but thicker than Galaxy Z Fold 6.
- The weight of the foldable phone is about 298 grams. And there are two hinges means two display creases on this foldable phone, like other foldable phones have.
- It comes with 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired charging, and 50W wireless top-ups.
- The Mate XT has got triple rear camera with 50 MP main camera, 12 MP ultrawide lens, and 5.5x 12 MPperiscope camera. It gives you more flexibility to depth-of-field effects and focusing. The model has 8 MP front camera for selfie and video call.

Right now, Mate XT runs the Harmony OS platform in its home country China, but it might change to EMUI Android when release in global market.
It will be durable, unlike the other foldable phones, this device will not make us nervous of dropping, it feels like something out of science fiction as its durability is something which needs to be reserved.
The release of world’s first triple-foldable phone is quite far, but we are still glad that the model is getting a wide release, and it will be available globally, and users can get chance to have such an impressive option in their wish list.
