Android Auto 13 is launched by Google which was expected to be a major update but is just another build that doesn’t appear to bring any breaking changes.
Finally, Android Auto 13 is launched and is available for download through the Google Play Store for the first set of users. And as always, the Google Play Store rollout takes place in stages which means that firstly it will be available only for first set of users, and rest of the users need to wait for up to several weeks for update to come to their devices. But fortunately, there is one more way to get it that is by sideloading, by which anyone can download Android 13 on their devices.
What are the new updates and features in Android Auto 13?
The first build in the Android Auto 13 branch is 13.0.6440. Google jumped from 12 to 13 version, still users can’t find new interface or new features in the new version of Android Auto.
Just after the few days of release of Android Auto 12.9 stable release, Google started rolling out Android 13 which can be seen as just a regular release that is only focused on bug fixes and performance under the hood, though the company is already working on new features.
One of the highlighting feature of new version is “Radio station integration”, with the help of which users don’t need to leave the Android Auto interface while listening to the radio. Currently, users have to return to the native infotainment system by leaving the interface to access list of station. But Google worked to integrate this, so now users can switch from streaming music to radio station without leaving interface.
Also, Google has offered upgraded capabilities, including HD radio and music streaming in the same UI which will provide a comprehensive media listening experience in Android Auto.
