Android Auto 13.3 has just released by Google to the stable channel and is now available to download.
It is released only a few days after the same build landed in the beta program. It shows that everything worked flawlessly in the beta phase and no big bugs were found. And thus Android Auto 13.3 is going to give flawless user experience.
Currently, the roll out of new version available on the Google Play Store will take place in phases which means not everyone receive it together. Well, if you don’t want to wait , the Android Auto 13.3 stable build can be downloaded and you can sideload it on your device manually.
What’s new in Android Auto 13.3?
It can be expected that version 13.3 is going to pave the way for the introduction of a new feature called “Car Media”. This new feature will offer access to media options bundled by default with the vehicle’s infotainment system.
The native infotainment software in the car make it possible to listen to radio stations and play content stored on USB media. And for this users need to leave the Android Auto interface and access the vehicle’s media apps to listen to AM/FM radio or play content from USB plugged into USB port.

After the launch of this new feature, users will be able to listen to radio station and play USB media directly from Android Auto and they don’t need to leave the interface anymore. Everything will be grouped by Android Auto under different categories like- pop, hip-hop, and oldies.
It can be said that the “Car Media” will become a built-in media player offering capabilities currently bundled with third-party apps, but Google keep it unclear that when the complete feature lineup will be determined and it will launch completely. Well the good news is that version 13.3 shows evidence that the development process is making good progress.
Also, Android Auto has fixed some of the bugs related to the issue of calls broken for some users.
Well, the release information for new Android Auto updates has not been shared by Google, so users need to inspect everything thoroughly by installing these updates to determine if something has changed in the app.
