Google Gemini Extensions increase the model’s ability by integrating with different apps for a wider helping hand. These tools make Gemini more useful for tasks like managing notes, creating reminders, controlling smart devices, and more.
Benefits of Gemini Extensions:
Mostly, AI chatbots and assistance create answers from information that is freely available on the internet, or sometimes from the user’s personal data. However, answers created from this information aren’t always perfect and might sometimes include errors.
This is totally different in case of Gemini, and the credit goes to Gemini Extensions.
Gemini works with apps and services users use, and it performs tasks or answers questions by accessing these apps through extensions.
Extensions are like permission that allows Gemini to connect with specific apps or services and provide more personalized answers to you.
For example, if someone uses a note-taking app, Gemini can use that app to organize those notes and draw information from them. Gemini answers your questions using one or more extensions.
But for that, you need to provide permission to access your data; you must opt-in to activate these extensions, as Gemini cannot access your data without permission.

Gemini will give them the exact result exactly what they asked along with several other options.

Gemini can do everything for you.
How to turn on Gemini Extensions:
There are some extensions that may be enabled by default in the Gemini app, but there are some extensions that are available only for some and have not rolled out widely. Once they become available, they will appear in the Gemini settings.
To turn on Gemini extensions, you need to follow the below steps:
First, on your phone, open the Gemini app.
Then tap your profile photo and select Extensions.
And then tap on the toggle of each extension you want to enable.
After that, extensions will display a pop-up when they are enabled. This pop-up shows important security and privacy information that’s worth reading.
