Epic Games Store will now come pre-installed on millions of Android devices, as Epic Games is now partnering up with Spain-based carrier Telefónica to make the Epic Games Store accessible on “millions” of Telefónica Android devices.
In its news releases, Epic Games confirmed the partnership with Telefonica.
With this deal between two companies, Android devices will be sold by the carrier pre-loaded with the Epic Games Store. And users will enjoy downloading games, including Fortnite and Fall Guys, from the store without sideloading.
This will take place on Android devices sold in Spain, the UK, Germany, and Latin America.

Epic Games releases a statement in the newsroom saying:
“Telefónica, one of the largest telecommunications service providers in the world, and Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite, today announced a long-term partnership to make Fortnite and the Epic Games Store more accessible on millions of Telefónica Android devices. As a first step in this partnership, the Epic Games Store will now be pre-installed on all new compatible devices on the Telefónica network in Spain, the UK, Germany, and Spanish-speaking Latam. Players will now be able to more easily download Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe as well as third-party games in the future.”
Both the companies have a long-standing relationship, as Direct Carrier Billing in the Epic Games Store was first introduced by Telefonica, and also Fortnite’s massive in-game O2 Arena musical experience was co-created by it.
This partnership is going to benefit Epic Games as well as all users who prefer to play games on their Android devices. Also, Epic Games said that this is just the beginning, and over the next year the companies plan to expand the partnership and bring more benefits to mobile players across the Telefónica network.
With time, we will get to see whether Epic can form similar partnerships with other carriers or not.
