Recent leaks from the Digital Chat station provide information related to the expected launch timeline.

It is expected that Qualcomm will launch its new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset in October 2025. The release is earlier than usual because the company wants to give time to smartphone manufacturers to integrate new flagship phones with new chipsets.
Users can expect that in the new year, they will get to see the launch of new flagship devices with an upgraded chipset as Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset release date is confirmed, with improved performance and power efficiency.
What to expect from the Qualcomm’s new chipset?
Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset will launch with significant upgrades. It is expected that the new chipset of Qualcomm will use an advanced 3nm manufacturing process ‘TSMC’s N3P node’.
This advanced technology will help in improving current performance, and power efficiency, which can be compared to Apple’s A19 chips(rumored to use the same node).

Also, there would be a 20% improvement in CPU performance as it is expected that the new chipset will get GPU upgrades, rumors suggest.

Other news suggests that OnePlus 13 and 13R smartphones will launch globally on January 7, 2024. And 13R will launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, along with a 6000 mAh battery. On the other side, OnePlus 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with the same battery capacity.
