This new AI model has set a performance benchmark with a 73.3% score on the American Invitational Mathematics (AIME). It scores 74.2% on the GPQA Diamond science benchmark.
According to Jeff Dean, chief scientist at Google DeepMind, “The model shows its work by explaining its reasoning process. It includes native code execution capabilities and features improved reliability with reduced contradictions between its reasoning process and final answers.”
