BlackBerry the Canadian smartphone maker revealed the first official images of its Android powered smartphone, the Priv and it’s the BlackBerry’s first device to run on Google’s Android OS.
“Priv users will enjoy choice, innovation, security, privacy and productivity. In other words, no compromises. PRIV will also deliver the largest choice in apps and the most secure experience possible to the widest audience.” BlackBerry stated in its blog post, exhibiting off the first official images of PRIV.
BlackBerry CEO John Chen announced in interview with Business News Network on Friday that the PRIV could be expected to be available in Q4, 2015 in major markets in-store and online. As previously rumored, PRIV comes with slider Qwerty keyboard and a 5.5-inch curved screen and runs on Android OS, v5.1.1 (Lollipop).
PRIV sports a 5.5-inch curved screen and a slider keyboard; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 1.8GHz hexa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB of RAM; a 5.4-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display; a 5-megapixel front-facing camera an 18-megapixel rear camera.
