 Google Play parallel app update feature is rolling out as Google has finally started fixing the limitation of updating one app at one time. It was one of the biggest complaints users were having over the years that shows inability of Google Play to update multiple apps simultaneously.

This year in April, Google has provided the ability to its users that they can install multiple new apps concurrently from Google Play Store. But this feature was mainly useful for those who has to set up a new phone and need to install apps all over again. However, users mostly need to update multiple apps as they don’t install apps frequently.

Parallel app update download testing was reported for updates in March this year, with reports dating as far back as 2019 as well.

What to be expected from Google Play parallel app update feature:

As the news come up from the source that the new feature ‘parallel app updates’ will provide ability to users to ‘update three apps at once’, it is same as that of Apple App store which permits the same to its users.

And the good thing is that same limit has been applied to ‘new app installs’ as well. Well, this is really appreciated as with hundreds of apps installed on Android devices, ‘parallel updates of apps’ will really be helpful for users.

This new feature is rolling out as a server-side change on a large scale as suggested by the visibility of the feature across multiple devices and user accounts, users might not need to wait for too long time.

But exactly when this feature will be available on your device to use is not said by Google for now. Let’s just hope that it will not be a short-term test at scale.
