Qualcomm is all set to launch its new chipset soon, and the company will update its branding with the new chip to be called “Snapdragon 8 Elite.”
From the leaked image spotted by SmartPrix, which is now deleted, it has been revealed that the upcoming chip of Qualcomm may be called “Snapdragon 8 Elite”, previously expected to be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

What can be expected from new chip “Snapdragon 8 Elite”?
It is expected that the new chipset will be based on TSMC’s 3nm process. The company will unveil about it in the Snapdragon Summit 2024 which will take place from October 21-23.
Using Qualcomm’s custom Oryon architecture, the same which is used in the ‘Snapdragon X Elite laptop chips’ for significant power boost, the new chip will have two performance cores at 4.0 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2.8 GHz.
It is expected that the new chipset will have 35% better single-core, and 30% better multi-core performance.
Which Android flagships are expected to have new chipset of Qualcomm?
Xiaomi 15 series, OnePlus 13, Realme GT 7 Pro, Galaxy S25 series are some of the Android flagships which are expected to get powered by the new chip of Qualcomm.

As was confirmed earlier, the new chipset will be launched by Qualcomm in October. As it is not confirmed yet whether the ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’ will be renamed to ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite’ as it is not announced officially. But the new name of Qualcomm’s chip without a succeeding number would make it very confusing and it will be difficult for the company to release future generations in line up. Let’s see, whether the company rename it or not.
