Android TV 14 has not got the official announcement of its release but plans for Android has already been confirmed by Google.
Android TV 14 release date:
Android TV 14 will start rolling out later this year to new devices as a new update with so many new features like- picture-in-picture mode, Gemini features, and many more.
For now, the new OS is available on the newly launched Google TV Streamer, but it has not rolled out as an update for the Chromecast with Google TV or other older devices.
Android TV 14 beta is available for download, but it can be downloaded by using the Android Studio emulator, and is mainly designed for developers and not for average users. Also, it is not expected that it will get available on physical hardware until the official release.
If we see the release of previous OS, we can say that new OS will launch in the end of this year.

Android TV 13 never surfaced by Google, as Google directly confirmed its plan for Android TV 14.

Features of Android TV 14:
- After very long time, Google is bringing new OS update to Android TV. An updated performance will be brought by new OS which will be more responsive on devices with lower amounts of RAM, a new picture-in-picture mode, the usual bug-fixes, and some accessibility changes.
- There will be an option of color-correction, enhanced text option, and improved accessibility navigation. Also, new energy modes will be there- Low Energy Mode, Optimized Energy Mode, and Increased Energy Mode.
- There will be a Magic button for Android TV, which is a shortcut you use to customize to any app or service you wish, which means it’s a quick access for your favorite streaming service. For now, this feature is only available with the Onn 4K Pro, and is expected that Chromecast will also see the feature soon.
- Android TV 14 might also receive “Call notification feature”, by which you”ll be able to receive call notifications right from your TV as long as you have a compatible device.
- The new accessibility features of new OS includes- a new shortcut for text scaling, a bold text setting that makes it easier to read, and a new color-correct setting for those with color blindness, and an Audio Description which will read the things happening on the screen.
