Android 16 release date is confirmed by Google, and it is coming earlier than usual. It has been officially announced by the Google that the next major release of Android will take place in Q2 2025.
Android 16 release date:
Android 16 is going to release in Q2 2025, which means that we could see its release in April, May, or June 2025, as Google officially announced its launch date.
It has also been mentioned by Google that a minor release will take place in Q4 2024 for Android 16, presumably taking the shape of Android 16 QPR2.
“Soon, the developer preview and beta program will begin for the Q2 major release”, as mentioned by Google.
As the release will happen in Q2, it will allow more devices to get the major release of Android sooner. Thus, it can be expected that Google Pixel 10 series will launch with Android 16 instead of Android 15.
