Android Auto 13.2 update is now rolling out by Google and is available for download via the Play Store.
Any major changes have not brought by Android Auto new version, it’s just a part of the app’s typical slower and staged rollouts. Currently, the new version is in the early phase so some users might have the availability of update, or they might need to wait a couple of weeks to have it.
But anyone can download it manually by sideloading the APK on their Android devices. They only need to download the APK installer and after that users have to tap the installer and follow the on-screen wizard to complete the update. They don’t need to remove existing Android Auto installation.
As Google no longer offers release notes for the new Android Auto builds, so for exploring everything in detail, users need to install the new update.

What’s new in Android Auto 13.2?
Android Auto 13.2 update focus mostly on bug fixing, so users struggling with a long-time Android Auto bug should install the new update and see if problem is fixed.
EV settings for cars with an NACS charging adapter will not referred as “non-Tesla” vehicles anymore, rather considered as just vehicles with NACS support. This is one of the tangible changes within 13.2 which is very minor but good for clarity.
There’s a new “Car Media” feature which has been in the works for Android Auto by Google which seems to be adding radio controls, but it’s not known when that might be coming.
Also, in future updates, Google might be adding the ability to make calls using third-party apps like WhatsApp, so users can select a contact and make an audio call without unlocking their mobile device.
For now, users can check the Play Store for the latest Android Auto 13.2 update, and if they don’t find it on their device, they need to wait as Android Auto 13.2 would land on more devices in the coming weeks.
