- Animations and visual changes
OxygenOS will improve animations of OnePlus when opening and closing applications. This feature will help those who open and close apps quickly as improved animation will make your OnePlus device a little bit faster and smoother.
A new ‘Halo’ fingerprint animation will showcase the shimmer effect just like the effect spot during plugging phone in to charge.
The icon customization will now have an option of “Radiance” and “Shadow,” as ‘Material menu’ to try something new.
Also, system installation is even smaller than it was previously. Users will get renamed Dynamic Color icon support. It can be seen as a toggle under the Custom section as “Adopt system colors.”
2. New Control Centre and Notification Shade
OxygenOS 15 will bring the quick-access Control Center which can be split into two distinct access panels, and can be accessed by simply swiping from the top right of your screen.
To access notification shade, users can swipe from the top left, and to move quickly between the two sections, just swipe left or right.
3. Live alerts
“Live alerts” feature is also a copy of iOS that brings in widgets and quick-access floating panels in the area around the punch-hole notch.
For now, it will be used with media apps, but it doesn’t work with YouTube Music.
Users can easily track timer, see screen recorder settings, and personal hotspot data from floating panel. While using in-built screen recorder, the Live Alert floating controls can be quickly tap to end a recording and it can be saved to device as well.
4. Circle to Search
This feature will also be seen in OxygenOS 15, but it will be available in future update not now. To use this feature, users just need to long-press the gesture bar, and they can draw to perform a visual search.
5. Private safe
By using this feature users can save their private files into unique folders or organize them to access later. Currently all files are contained within one huge folder, but with the help of this feature it can be saved privately.
6. Find My Device offline
OxygenOS 15 will support offline tracking for OnePlus 12 with Find My Device. If your device gets power off, it will only work for around 24 hours and it might be enough to track and get it back.
7. Theft Protection
This feature will provide an extra security controls in which if someone snatches your phone from your hand it will automatically get locked. It’s not directly available with OxygenOS 15 but may be enabled on some devices.
